This animated cartoon follows the adventures of "Colonel Cosmic," a Martian, as he learns that Oil and Competition are the two things that make America great. It is a sci-fi-influenced economic tract on the strengths of Earth-style free enterprise economics, compared to a stagnating Mars under the fist of a certain Mr. Ogg, who centrally controls the Martian economy. In the film, a Martian undercover agent flies from Mars to Earth to learn about the oil industry, and finds that the lack of government regimentation and control is what makes our system flourish.

I have serious doubts that this clip is going to be effective in reducing illegal drug consumption. It might work to convince parents that something is being done about the "drug menace" (which a cynic may argue is the primary role of many anti-drug PSAs).
Ralph Bakshi (born October 29, 1938(1938-10-29)) is an American director of animated and live-action films. Bakshi established an alternative to mainstream animation through independent and adult-oriented productions.He is best remembered for his film, Fritz the Cat. While browsing the East Side Book Store on St. Mark's Place, Bakshi came across a copy of Robert Crumb's Fritz the Cat. Impressed by Crumb's sharp satire, Bakshi purchased the book and suggested that it would work as a film.After Bakshi pitched the project to every major Hollywood studio, Warner Bros. bought it and promised an $850,000 budget. Bakshi hired animators he had worked with in the past, including Vita, Tyer, Anzilotti and Nick Tafuri, and began the layouts and animation. The first completed sequence was a junkyard scene in Harlem, in which Fritz smokes marijuana, has sex and incites a revolution. Here's a favorite clip of mine, from the film:

In this 1942 cartoon, Mountie Elmer Fudd is on the trail of Bugs Bunny who's wanted dead or alive, "preferably dead". Bugs foils Elmer with tricks like the Elmer-shaped snowman. Finally Bugs lets himself be arrested. Elmer takes Bugs back to the log stockade and puts Bugs up before a Mountie firing squad. But Bugs starts singing "Dixie". The stockade becomes a field of cotton, and all the Mounties, including Elmer, turn into singing Negro minstrels! This is the complete uncensored version.This has the full blackface minstrel-show finale, censored from TV for almost thirty years. > The final scene is a spoof of the movie Dixie which is about a Blackfaced preformer. This 1949 Noveltoon short is a variation on the age-old cat versus mouse theme. A group of mice living within the walls of a house forms an orchestra. However, the music disturbs the jazz musician cat who also lives there, so the cat sets out to eliminate the mice. GREAT music...REDUNDANT "Tom and Jerry" plot - worth a look/listen. Enjoy!
Max Fleischer is best known as the co-founder of the famous Fleischer Studios, which he started together with his brothers Dave and Joe. Max Fleischer emigrated to New York City from Poland at an early age. He worked as a commercial artist and cartoonist, but an interest in mechanics led him to animation. Specifically, he was driven to find a method to produce animation more efficiently and economically, and came up with a "method of producing moving picture cartoons" in 1915, and patented it in 1917. The Fleisher Studio turned out some of the most inventive films of the period. Fleischer made the first sound cartoons of contemporary comic heroes like Popeye. At the end of the 1920s, the studio's top artist Grim Natwick came up with a new female character: a seductive, nameless side-character who was modeled after Helen Kane, a waning Hollywood star at the time, known for her high-pitched "Boop-Oop-a-doop". This character, who was initially the nameless girlfriend of 'Bimbo the Dog', would develop into the popular and world famous character, Betty Boop. As the fame of the cartoon character increased, the popularity of the live actress and singer Helen Kane diminished, and she threatened with lawsuits, all of which were unsuccessful. He died from heart failure on September 11, 1972, at the age of 89, after a period of poor health. Max Fleischer was an artist, a writer, and an inventor of some 20 patents for motion picture production processes. On the day of his death Max Fleischer was cited as a great pioneer who invented an industry, and was named by Time magazine as the "Dean of Animated Cartoons."

Due to the film's racial stereotyping, All This and Rabbit Stew has not been seen on television since 1968 (despite its being in the public domain since 1969), and is one of the "Censored Eleven" group of banned Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts. It is also the only Bugs Bunny cartoon in the Censored Eleven.
The Junky's Christmas is a 1993 short claymation film. William S. Burroughs wrote the story and narrates the film; he also appears in live-action footage at the beginning and end of the film. The film was produced by Francis Ford Coppola and was released by Koch Vision on DVD in North America on Nov. 21, 2006.
